Sorry Mr Cheapskate, but it's people like you who are destroying the emulation scene. Ask anyone who's been around for a while and they'll tell you that it's harder than ever to download ROM's. Why? Because people like you see emulation as a way to play games for free. IT'S NOT!!!!!
The whole idea behind emulation was to allow people to play old games that aren't for sale anymore. Downloading NES, SNES PCE etc. ROMs isn't hurting the games companies because these games aren't being sold anymore. However when tossers like you come along demanding N64 ROMs that are almost new it starts to piss the games companies off. Why do you think so many ROM sites have closed down? It's because Nintendo have threatened legal action against them because there fed up of spending millions of £'s / $'s developing games, and then having them post on the net hours after there release. Don't start blaming Nintendo either, they have a right to make money off the games they develope. If they didn't we wouldn't get to see any new titles.
Before everyone says that what I'm saying won't happen. All I say to you is this:
Look at what Napster was, and look at what it is now.
If you want a future for emulation - think on!

I'm not being an ass, I'm just telling it as it is. Plus I don't like some newbie with a grand total of 3 posts talking like he owns the board. Respect has to be earned, and Pauncho would do well to remember that.

good point emulation should strictly be prohibited to systems that are still mass producing games. That's what I believe anyways

Although I agree with the philosiphy of only getting games which are no longer being produced, I must point out that Nintendo and the others that are suing make no differentiation between these systems.
Legally, there is no difference between downloading a rom which is no longer made and one which is. Both are illegal copyright infringements. You may have your moral arguments, but if you were to bring them to court, they would fail.

i have mario party 2.....or was it mario party 1??? i dont know, i have to check.
true its not emulated very well, most n64 games aren't anyway! but Pauncho could also have one of those doctor 64s that hooks up to the n64. that way he doesn't need to worry about being emulated or not.
also, this is sad but true, emulation now really isn't about preserving old games, that kinda died in 1998.
its just another way of priating games........

Just because i have 3 posts on this forum means u know more than me? U think too high of yourself, spending all your time on a board. At least i have better things to do with my time.
