What is the Best Genre of game......

I myself prefer the fighting games.
But also those really good RPG'S like Tales of Phantasia.
So common,whats your favorite style of gaming?

Fighting games I suppose are my favorite since they're different every time you play, especially with two people.
I also really like action and puzzle games though.

I dont want to start an arguement but I think that Fighting games are HORRIBLY repetitive and if you've played 'em all... If I ever do play a fighting game I end up mashing the buttons and shouting "Whoa! How'd I do that?!" whoo fun... RPG's are my all time favorite mostly because I love a good story, with that in mind it's easy for an RPG to crash and burn without a good story. I also enjoy a good Action/Adventure game or a good puzzle game... and of course any retro arcade game, they make me fell all fuzzy inside ^.^

My favorite kind of games are racing games, such as gran turismo's, f- zero and rpgs, (genesis style) such as phantasy star and super mario stuff i like that too, i also love sonic, but i think overall sonic and mario are tied, but mario is the origional and sonic was made to compete against nintendo.

My fav game type has to be MMORPG these type of games rock seeing they go on forever get updated all the time and a great challenge other than that any FPS game online.

1. RPG's (can you tell from the many FF references I've made since I first joined?)

2. Fighters (nothing like kicking the crap out of the guy next to you without actually touching him)

3.Shooters (*sound of a gun cocking*)

RPG FOREVER!!!!!!! I personally like them best, but arcade shooters come second (ever played area 51 with BOTH GUNS? I swear, it's a great experience, why rely on only yourself, or a partner when you can rely on two guns?) I've read most (all) of the posts and I'd have to say RPG's come first, followed closely by fighters

well racing games are most yl repetative, sure, there can be actual good one like Rock N roll racing, but they are mostly repetative. I can classify most or all racing games into about 3 catagories:
1.Racing only: as the name inplies, you race only, it may contain tings like Nitro or boost, but thats all (ie. Gran Turismo)
2.Racing Deathmatch: You race, guy gets ahead of you, you kill em, thats all. (ie. Mario Kart, Extreme-G)
3.Not neccesarily racing: these games may have racing in them, but aren't based on racing alone, it can base itself on stunt mode, or 4 player battlemode, where there is no finish line, except total annihilation. (ie: Rush2040, but in that case, stunt mode was BETTER then racing)

Speaking all from my point of view of course, racing games get repetitive. but we all got our different tastes! I mean some people like racing, some like puzzles, some like games the feature trying to get a girl naked, some like shooting the brain out of aliens. so there is no ONE favorite genre, but there IS a most popular!

you knwo what, when I was little, I remember seeing a barbie at my friend house, I grabbed it from her hands, took her into the bathroom, and undressed her, and was dissappointed by bulges of plastic and got out and threw it at my friend. so undressing barbie has no real effect,m except disappointment

Yeah they're all pretty decent
There's 1 for NES that's pretty crappy, there's X-Men Mutant Apocalypse for SNES which is pretty decent, X-Men 1 and 2 for Genesis are both good, the CPS2 X-Men fighting games are of course good, and the 2, 4 and 6 player arcade ones are okay
THe only ones that really suck are the genesis and SNES versions of Spiderman and X-Men in Arcade's Revenge
Hmm I think there's a game gear X-Men game or two also

not to mention the fighting game based on the movie and some xmen titles on the gameboy
also the ragin cajun charges objects with kinetic energy which explode when ever they impact on a hard enough surface
so when your playing xmen vs streetfighter remember gambit is saying kinetic card not credit card :D
