So which do you like better for arcade games (or just games in general)? Arcade stick, gamepad, or keyboard?

Actually it all depends on the kind of controller we all first started with.
For me it was the NES controller,
(remember the corn on those thumbs?)
but now with my PC controller i have analogg and digital functions, but the thing is that the digital controls suck ass so i had to get used to the analogg Joysticks.
so it all depends on the feel of the controller not what is best :)
I prefer gamepad. I thought the snes pad was awesome for fighting games. I did buy joysticks for my dreamcast (cause I think we all know about the DC's gamepad), but I dont really like them except for Soul Caliber. So I prefer gamepads, but not sucky ones.
The playstation one kind of sux too.

I can NOT play any fighting game unless I have a joystick. Anything else, I can play with a thumb pad no problem.
(Hey Cole! LOOK WHO'S BACK! :D )

I like gamepads much better. They're just less cumbersome than arcade sticks. And I dont like the keyboard for games at all, its made for typing, not for games.

Joysticks are key for fighting games, however joypad are best for rpg games on DC on PSX. I never bought a joystick though, it would of helped alot in SFA. I can never do a dragon punch when I want to.

Man, I can't stand arcade joysticks, for anything.
I especially hate them for fighting games.

keyboards the easiest for me. but that's because i've been playing so much roms now instead of gamepads and joysticks!
i really need to buy myself some chunky arcade joysticks to practice on. :(

the stick is the best, nothing beats it, the origional, and nothing beats the origionals... how man arcades do you see with lil' controllers, none so thats my opinion...

Yeah I know, that's what I hate about arcades. I wish they had gamepads, it'd be way easier for me :)
I hate using joysticks, they're awkward for me...

teh stick is awkward, how can that be almost everyone started out with it... pac man.. yu have no controller... well now with all this pac man 3d crap going around... why do they have to complicate such a simple game?
The D

Hey the 3d pac man game is cool... it's still the same basic concept but you just have multiple levels.
What's really awesome is the new Pong. Man that game is fun.

Well now taht i think about it, i do like the joystick, but the game pad i am used to, now with all systems not using joysticks, but i can do the same things on both, but for some games its much better to use the joystick and as for others the game pad is better. so it all depends on tha game

gamepad for me. snes gamepad rocks! the feel of it was awesome, and it didn't break for nothin. keyboard is too clunky, you use it to type, didja know that ppl. the arcade joystick was too much of a pain - feels too clumsy, and i really never got any better control out of it than i could a d-pad.

I've trained myself to play RPG's like the FF series on a keyboard so during battles, I'm selecting commands at an abnormal speed!:) As for fighting games...eh, I do okay with the keyboard, but when it comes to 360's or even half circles, forget it. To make matters worse, the Left button on my joypad only works if you jam the frikkin' thing all the way in... Anyway, I'm goin with gamepads considering all the years I've used them...a good 13 years or so. Ah, I miss thee ye olde 4-button NES controller...

Actually for a simpler way there is a manner to make those moves by Releasing the button instead of pressing it.
So if its half Circle then Punch all you need to do is Hold punch then do the motion and release the punch :)
But I only Tryed in all the Street Fighters. (Dont really know if it works for all of them other fighters but it works for all the sf series!)

If your looking for moves and such for those street fighters theres plenty of web info on the net.
The easiest one would be (and simpler) www.gamefaqs.com
Its my number one buddy when i'm stuck on anything like RPG's and stuff!
