I downloaded the 35mb rom, and also NeoRAGEx emulator, version 0.6b of it and also the bios

The emulator seems to be working, but when i try to load kof99, it loads the graphics and the sound, but when it goes to reorganizing buffer or something like dat, it just stays there for real long, and the program stops responding

Hmm, what are your system specs?
Did you try any other games?
You might have a bad ROM...

i have the same problem with that game,
its not your rom nor the pc and certanly not the emulator trust me!
just retry 3 times in a row and all will work fine.
It seems that the emulator stops looking for the specified files cause the rom is SO BIG I suggest that if and when it stops, just hit the 3 buttons on your keyboard (alt+ctrl+end) you'll see if its stopped or not,if it is then stop it then try the game right away,
mine took 3 shots then it worked so you never know :)

For me, large roms like that take about 5 mins to load, so sometimes you just have to be patient.

Yeah the biggest one is KOF98 which takes a while to load, even on my computer.

Maybe if we try Using the WinRAR it might go faster?!

What?!?

if we zip the roms more compact maybe the game would load faster.

It should b the other way around.
if the zip has zero compression, neorage just loads the roms without having to "unzip" it.

You might not know how these work but just in case,
Roms are just a bunch of files all tucked in together,if the emulator cant read them all if there seperated. (unless its like Impact and works differently)
All i'd like to know is does it work better if zipped to the max.......

zipping to the max is bad. basically ur cpu is wasting more processing power to uncompress it b4 loading the rom.
best is to "store" the zipped roms, but not recommended.

Yes that is exactly right, the more compressed they are the harder the emu has to work to unzip them. Ever noticed if you try to zip or unzip a ZIP file that's set to maximum compression, it takes longer than one that's set to minimum? That's why...
I was confused about your WinRAR statement because I thought you meant putting them into a RAR file which would never work. I assume that's not what you meant though.
