You might have seen this kind of message before but how do you burn a cdi file? I preffer using CDRWIN and the file is 712mb. So, I'll need a 750 mb cd right?
I need to know exactly how to burn this file(DOA2 LE). I can't mess up a 750mb cd.

I don't know anything about the subject, but I was under the impression that CDRWin wouldnt' burn dreamcast games and that there was a certain program used to do it...
Most programs when you load the CD Image will tell you how big the CD is, and if your CD isn't big enough they warn you.

You have to use Discjuggler. You can pick it up here:

if you're gonna burn dc isos then you should use disc juggler (newest version) with 80 min cds
that will work with every dc iso
i use that format and it works great on my 16x burner

Ok, I've burned the game DOA2 LE, but it's not playable without freezing later. Same with Soul Calibur except that the picture on this game shakes.
So, Vinh(or anyone else who knows about this) do I burn it as Audio or Mode1? Is there any other settings I need to have it on?

Audio is for Music.
Mode1 is one of the modes for Data.

What brand of cdr are you using? Sometimes the cheaper brands, like compusa cdr's, may have problems with the DC. You may also want to try burning at 2X speed just to be on the safe side.

And also the Discjuggler burn settings are saved into the .cdi. So you should leave them as whatever they are set too by default.

Just a thought, why not use CD-RW's?
...@_@ Wait one minute... There are no 80 min CD-RW's.
Are there?

I use memorex 700mb cds. The only way I can play Dead or Alive2 or Soul Calibour is by setting up my Dreamcast vertically like a Playstation 2. That mode1 burning just gave me an error at the end and it doesn't work. I guess you're suppsoe to burn it as AUDIO, offset 0 bytes, Block 2352, CD-DA. This is the way that worked and has to be played vertically. :(

oh that really sucks.... heh, a vertical dreamcast...
