I'm not associating FF with fanboyism, it's just that you picked ALL FF titles lol. And saying "1-hit title" is subestimating square capacity. Games like Parasite Eve, Vagrant Story, Brave Fencer Musashi, all from Square, can be better than FF's. I'd pick BFM over most FFs anytime, it's just plain more fun to play.

As good as some of those games are you have to admit like any other co they put out a few crappers. State of Emergency I wouldnt call a must have and after a while of having Manhunt I sold it as fast as I could due to it being more boring repedative and straight forward then I would have thought out of an *R game.

Wich brings me to an incident I had TODAY.
While sitting on the crapper playing Gameboy Tetris (I know... TMI) I decided to toss another game in. It was a while since I played it, and after I was done I thought to myself... who made this P.O.S. ! Looking at the back I see the ol *R. What game was it? Austin Powers for Gameboy Color made by Rockstar.

Sometimes you hit (GTA3 & VC). Sometimes you miss (AUSTIN and SOE)

Austin GBC is now almost at the top of the list for worst game ever made IMO. (next to aquanots holiday PS1). :b

Rockstar has grown since the time i posted but i still dont feel there anywhere near the level that capcom, konami, namco and others have build up through the years. As for square, the ff series is really there bread and butter while theve made a couple of others that have been good, they havent gotten the attention ff has.

True. Anyone thats played Midnight Club Racing 1 or the dodgiest game I have ever played on the PS2: Surfing H30, knows that Rockstar doesnt always deliver the goods. But then every big name developer has its turds. Squares Unlimited Saga (I know I know some people like this gibberish but I expect more from the makers of X-2) Capcoms horrible cash-cow sequels Resident Evil Survivor and Devil May Cry 2, Namcos Bouncer ;P there are probably even worse than these from these developers but they were obviously even -less- memorable then these rejects ;P - Kendojosh

i cant believe you can put these in an order, but heres some of my favourites;

any final fantasy, crazy taxi, harvest moon: btn, ssx3, timesplitters 2, kingdom hearts, some of the tony hawk series (theyre slowly getting worse and worse), gta series and i think thats it. werent that many ps1 games i got too excited about

well i never heard of GTA till 3 came out, and i got bored after the second city. State was a totally lame ass game, as was Manhunt. So they went platinum, big deal. When i hear Rockstar i think GTA 3 and VC. They seem to be aiming for violent games that shock people. well thats getting as lame as jerry springer and reality tv.

Speak for yourself, as any of the GTA's are boring imo (yes, i've played Vice for all the long 15min it managed to entertain me).

yea last centra, GTA's are pretty damn boring after you beat the game. The only fun thing is the missions and story line and stuff, but doing the sidequests with hidden package and rampages. all that stuff is stupid. I onlly did it to be 100 percent complete because i liek to complete me games. I htink ff7 was the greatest rpg i have played, yet i havent played many.
