Sorry Gambit, I have said this before....but why the fuck would you want that game. I mean it's so bad. Sorry.

Gambit20

Simple,
I love dancing and This game is cool.
Even though some people dont think so.
I say its just a matter of who like what!

04-25-2001, 12:45 AM
yeah.... i agree....it is just a matter of who likes what but then others dont like it because of personal image...."theyll think im gay".....you know how it is

Emuxsucks

But it's not dancing. Your just moving your feet at a ridiculous speeds to match what the comp tells you to do. I played a game like that in typing class. Look at the screen and type the letters that appear. The longer you last, the faster they come up. G-A-Y!!!

How would you even play the game on your comp?

Gambit20
04-26-2001, 09:25 PM
Sorry dude but your not getting the last word on this one,I break dance and do all sorts of other types.
And when I do play this game It does look like i'm dancing you just dont have any rythm thats all!
Oh and umm try playing with your feet instead of you keyboard (it was made with a floor matt)

Vinh
04-26-2001, 10:06 PM
break dancing is more of going on your hands not your feet

Gambit20
04-26-2001, 10:17 PM
Sorry Vinh,
But break Dance has alot more than heads spins and Windmills.
I do Booggy (every limb in my body go smooth and elastic ) it also invovles the robot and other stuff.
I've been doing it for 8 years now and not once have I seen the same things.
The hands and flipping on the floor part are just the "Typical" moves you'd see normally but go see the Big leags, you'll see alot more than you though possible with the Human body :)

I have a pc ver called diet diet revolution but im not sure if its dance pad compatible.......

Emuxsucks
04-27-2001, 09:55 AM
Sorry buddy but YOUR not getting the last word on this. When people play that game, it looks like they're running, not dancing. Worse, they're just pivoting their hips and staring at the screen while their body tenses up so nothing moves but their feet (in order to maximize foot speed). Try going to a club to dance.

I also realize it was made with a floor may hence the question I posted," How would you even play the game on your comp?". The typing comment was a comparison to how simplist the game is and how it has nothing to do with dancing. Just because they play dance music, the worst dance music I have ever heard, doesn't mean you need rythum to play.

Worst game ever.

Gambit20
04-27-2001, 02:35 PM
I agree that some people look like their tap dancing, but its still dancing hehe.
And besides we all have our own opinion on everything and if you try to play the song "butterfly" you'll notcie (if you good) that you foot steps are just a small start at what you could do in a real club.
I do btw hang out in clubs and dance alot even.
So i dont think you could really tell me go try......cause I do!

Fair enough.

Diet Diet Revolution '99 doesn't work with pads as far as I"m concerned. It's ok. Really hard to program the music in, have to constantly check and see if it's on beat, etc.

And people, it's a game, everyone has their own opinion. And there's a lot more to break dancing than just head spins and windmills.

www.breakdance.com has a nice list of moves, and I'm sure a lot of them don't consist of head spins and windmills.

Personally, I think Dance dance wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either, it was unique in a way, but it was repetitive, ARGHHH Soo many pros and cons, cannot decide..........

Skaeleen
04-30-2001, 07:42 PM

TwinSniper16

why look for it, it's not the same, unless your planning on using your fingers, standing them upright and pretending thier minilegs for your keyboard.

I wanna see if you see what it means to be the man with the mastah plan, are you the man now?

The demo was quite entertaining. Hopefully I'll get to play it someday. It had a sequel too: Um jammer Lammy it was called I think. Don;t know about that one though.

Actually. You don't have to play wit the keyboard. You can turn off the judge/bar and just step to it.

Skaeleen
05-02-2001, 04:24 PM
what do you mean? im lost , step into it?

Gambit20
05-03-2001, 12:30 AM
Poor little Skae,
You havent tryed the game have you?!
If you did then maybe you only saw it on pc?
Anyhoot he ment "step to it" cause the game is a dancing game not to be used with a controller or keybord.so of course it'll be boring and pointless if you dont play as it was ment to be played. You need the dance pads.Just go to the arcade and you'll see for yourself.

:)

Skaeleen
05-03-2001, 03:12 PM
No, iv never played it other than on my pc, its fun tho :0 but it would kick ass "stepping into it" im going to go to the arcade, and see if its there.. maybe pladium would have it?

so far, I know 2 pc DDR games(not including the poor game qualities of any similators like diet diet)
1. Dancing King(only a few shops have this) rumor says it's the PC version of DDR by Konami, but i doubt it's true.
2.cyber groove
this game is official, it come with a cd-rom and a pad. Expect to pay $70 for a new set. go to http://pc.ign.com/games/15365.html for more info on this game.

Both games are on short(or no) supplies, so hurry to buy.

P.S. If you can't find neither, or perfer the original flavor, just spend $50-$70 for a DDR playsation set(including a playstation DDR CD and a dance pad). Or, if you're rich like hell, buy the real arcade machine for $12,000.

The attached file is a screenshot of Cyber Groove.

12k? I think it's a little more if you get the newer versions though. Probably up to 15k or more. The older ones like 3rd or so are probably cheaper though, or at least around here, since 3rd mix is old.

oh yea, but if you buy the dance pad and play it at home, it's not the same feeling as playing it at the arcades. 1 for the pads aren't that great at home, and 2, I myself seem to try harder since I have to pay mroe for it :)

but man, if you get the chance at the arcades, you'll get addicted if you liked playing it at home. I've been hooked on it for only 2 months, but man, we just got Para Para Paradise in!!! new game! i'm gonna spend twice the money now.....

skater8
05-10-2001, 06:10 PM
man, it sucks that the only arcade near me is camelot park and it only have DANCE DANCE USA. I have to pay 25 cent for one song(1 dolor and game of 4 songs).

DoomX
05-10-2001, 07:00 PM
hah.. be happy you dont live here in LA..

if you get lucky.. $2.50 can get you a game of 3.... and thats the old mix..

I played 4th Mix at Gameworks last Sat.. it kinda liked it... except.. I mean... It just needed more interface..hehe..

The Dragoon
05-10-2001, 10:41 PM
well.. it's kinda cheap around here. i got lots of choices
.50 for 3 songs
.75 for 4 songs
1.00 for 5 songs.
.15 for 4 songs (but it's on the hardest damn difficulty. the songs i usually pass with a breeze are so damn hard)

You guys heard of Arcade Infinity in Southern Cal?

skater8
05-10-2001, 10:56 PM
you are so freakin lucking! I probly would spend $5 everytime. Luckly we have a double wedsday, every wedsday you get double tokens. So I can play 8 songs for 1 buck.

DoomX
05-11-2001, 02:03 AM
Yeah.. my friend told me about that place recently.. that they had 5th mix and Para Para 2nd mix (something like that)....

I think its in Roland Heights or somewhere like that.. Hmmm... We were planning on going.. but still thinking about it...

hehe.. yeah that going through a breeze thing your talking about Dragoon i remember that in 4th..hehe i almost made it... only ended up in 3rd part though :p .... good thing i was using the 2-hr card at GameWorks..hehehe...

I love DDR!
I have DDR 3rd mix for PSX and i recently bought DDR 4th mix on ebay:D. I've never played it in the arcades. My friend told me its harder cuz u cant move your feet as fast as if you had socks on.

Gambit20
05-11-2001, 05:29 PM

Ugh, i hate playing it at home compared to the arcades. I mean the pads are the arcade are REALLY nice.... the ones at home aren't. But anyways, ya, AI has pretty much everything in as far as Bemani games.

Gambit20
05-12-2001, 01:10 AM
