I want to install a modchip but I heard people say that it will eventually make your ps2 die. Is there any truth to this?

It is possible to mess up the ps2 if you do that. I think you need someone that knows everything about the construction of the ps2 to put a modchip in. :idea:

ok thanks, But the peopple that told me about that said they had a pro put them in...died a month later. Coincidence.....I think not.

I had a pro install mine its been 5 months since i got it nothings happened plus most ps2 die from weak lasers an cheap parts sony insist on using

yeah man eventually your PS2 will die anyway, mine is now a very expenssive big black book holder and I never messed with it.

no it wont as along as the ps2 is kept in good conditions and if you had it profesionally installed it def wont

Mod chips if fitted by experts will do ur machine no harm but remember the PS2 is not the most reliable machine anyways
