Handy enough. I hope the PS3 will have better games than the PS2 has though...
And yes, PS2 happens to be my fave console *because* it can play PS1 games. xD

I wonder if they are gonna give 'em faster loading time and smoother textures like they did w/ playing ps1 games on ps2?
Thats really cool to read that they ran ps1 w/ emulation, they got it to run faster than the actual hardware! Have any other emu's accomplished that?

intelesting. i'm still wondering what a ps3 is actually going to BE, what with Sony saying that it will be incorporated into the wiring of your frikkin refrigerator... :p and the bragging that it will have 1000 times more processing power? muy intelesting... i wonder when/if preliminary pics of this (console?) will ever be released

i dont doubt that sony will make it into a super all in one console or 1000 times more powerful but microsoft and nintendo wont fall behind either or some new hardware player will join the game it just happens time and time again

oh i'll always have room. plus while i say collector, im only more like half collector, half investor.
some of these may be worth a load years down the road. i mean think of all those guys that threw away their spiderman #1 and shit. plus its just cool to show off all the shit you got.

I haven't even had mine for a year yet though! I'm sure I'll be sick of Beatmania by the time I play all of the PS2 mixes anyway.

you know, now as i play my ps2, and then i play a psx game. i cant wait to see the graphics for the ps3. damn, itll be sweet for sure.
i'll still keep my ps2, just not in my room, maybe under my bed. Im getting a ps3

If the Ps3 is backwards compatible with Ps2, then that usually means that there will be Ps2 parts in it. Does that mean it's gonna crap out, and need to be replaced every few months like my Ps2 has had to be?

yeah, the PS2 had no psone parts to run the game, its run on emulators according to the article up top. I believe though that a psone processer is used in the PS2 for some mundane tasks...

Yeah I am shocked that the time is coming soon for the next ps to be released this ps2 was in my opinion also like yours lacking when it game to the killer app games like the psone had. I am suprised how easily the ps2 ran over it's competion like it did, oh well who knows if everything wont be different come this next generation battle.
