its an unofficial dreamcast vga box that i just got today. i tore the box off a little but i dont know why i got it since the company i ordered it from sent me one alreay. Anyway i tested it and works with the same as my dragoncast vga box II except this appears to have no third party name if your interested ill sell it for $10 dollars.

what exactly does a vga box do? is it one of those things that lets you connect your dreamcast to a monitor?

to a computer monitor yes. So if your short a TV or something this is good. I had one a while back, it's the only thing that worked with my HOTD 2/madcats gun combination.

skater8 just explained it but everygame isnt compatible moslty 2d fighting game i have yet 2 see an uncompatible 3d game though.....

Well I think it depends on the manufacture, on my VGA box some of the old games were uncompatible (Ace Combat and Jo Jo were the two).

I got mine for $7.99 from a mall gamestop(sometime last summer), but some good ones are probly worth that much.

Btw it will work on a PAL console i presume? all regions and even has the ability 2 play ur bootleg games on the moniter, man i wish i had a webcam....
BTW: If some people are scared of how i do business my name on ebay is thesocko316, (dont ask its my brother's and mine) and i ice game me an electronic forum site where i soled my last vga box device for the xbox and gamecube. Ill post up the email the customer sent me during that time.
