Why does StretchMame Lock up?

Ok now i'm getting really pissed abou this.
I've tryed the new stretch mame +Killara and it seemed eprfect.......until it locked up!
I looked for answers and havent gotten any :(
So now I downloaded the last one withought the Killara
(hoping it wasnt the emu itself that was the problem)
But sadly I started playing Mk2 Mk3 Sfa2.........they all locked up grrrrrrr Even the old ones like my MERCS locked up after a couple of minutes,I was happy to be playing but its seems it has a time span shorter that Homer Simpsons IQ!

If theres a Patch out there plz inform me.
Or if theres something i'm missing in order for it to work properly tell me also!
I'm gettting pissed more and more cause this really sucks!

mame sucks period, i hate it so much... it locks up all THE TIME!!! IT PISSES ME OFF TOO, SO IF ANYBODY HAS A PATCH TOO, PLEASE SEND IT TO ME. whoops , caps were to stop after i was mad.. hehehe sorry

It locks up? Man that sucks... I hate MAME but at least it runs for me :(
I don't know of any patch since I don't know your computer's specs..

Its gotten to the point where I'm afraid to play cause it' lock up...........HELP HELP HELP!!!!!!

Does the DOS version work at all?

Nope.
But I just saw something awfully weird...........All the emu's do the same thing THEY ALL FUCKING LOCK UP!
So right now I'm looking into every little aspec of my pc to find out whats wrong (I hope its not the emu's)

uhh if every emulator locks up on your computer it's not their fault, something's wrong with your PC.
How long has this been happening?

Ok,well now I've finshed all my researching and Finally camr down to one thing.........Its Mame :(
Cant really pin-point whats wrong but I know its Mame.
Maybe its cause the Stretch version really work lame on my Pc.So If anyone knows where I can find a "Normal" Mame emulator that supports the same games as the Stretch mame b37-14 (for windows) please tell me.

Well If you can also tell me How to work it on DOS maybe it would solve my problems,But I havent the slightest clue on how it works on DOS so if you do know.......Help?!:cool:

Did you try the normal MAME32, without stretch?
As for using MAME DOS, the readme does an excellent job of explaining how to use it...

mame dos finally works for me although i hate dos, i cant do anything in windows.... such as get icq messages and stuff...

You can Alt+Tab out of most DOS apps, if you get an ICQ message or whatever, then switch back

i wish i could, but mine is fucking up again... all dos versions i tried, screw up on me... its so messed up... i had one to work for a while then it screwed up on me... anyways, im reformatting my drive so i'll reinstall it then. i wish i could help gambit, but its pointless, the same stuff is happeneing to me!!!

I don't use the DOS version, but if I did I would just use the one at the MAME home page...
Plus I don't think you have anything I'd want

what happends when I double click the mame icon?
Absolutley nothing exept that dos screen taht says look in the readme .txt for more options!

I cant find anything that works :(

when i run it, it just freezes and i have to retsart my computer.... thats why im reformatting it thsi weekend its a problem on my comp.

I sometimes get to play a while before it does freeze up,
But last night I couldnt even go past the first 30 seconds of the Mk2 intro :(

Uhhh on DOS MAME you don't just double click on the EXE file
You have to run it from the command line with a game
Like if you want to play Street Fighter 1, you go to the command line and type
mame sf1
then you can also add switches for whatever options you want
All this is in the readme

argg, this crap is so hard... i have tried it countless times.. but i cant get crap to work on my crap pc. anyways, i'll just stop and wait... no use in trying when my comp is as good as reformated =)

It's actually not that hard
But DOS MAME won't do a single thing unless you load it with a game
Just remember to look in the readme, all you need to know is in there

Well I got some good news.........IT WORKS!!!!!!!
its all fixed and i'm ready for some Sf ass whoopi'n again Mouahahahahahhaa :D
