Major lag

I am having major lag when playing games, especially ones that scroll like Contra or Mega Man.

Sorry if this seems like a dumb question but how can I fix it? I have a new version of nesticle and I have a fast computer and video card, so I know it's not that.

When I play the music slows down and everything runs slow, but on some games it seems fine.

Any tips?

Have you tried another emulator, like RockNES, NESten, or NESter?

If that doen't work use a dos version of the avaiable emu foe NES. They are always 10 times faster than windows based programs.

Aaahh I keep forgetting there's that weird windows version of Nesticle

I've only tried nesticle.

I tried that dreamnes program but it didn't work.

What other emulators would you recommend that work with a large variety of games??

You know what I really hate?
Apparently the blocky graphics on the right side of the screen in Super Mario Bros. 3 are SUPPOSED to be there.
I never saw this in the original NES, this aggrivates me to no end.
