Simpsons Arcade Game?? Was it on a console?

It seemed like it was on Super Nintendo or something like that.I always wanted that game since it game out in 1991 but I could never find the game for a system.So I always had to the arcades to play it.It had to take 7 years for me to finally have it, on Mame thank god!! Arcade Version too.... I was just wondering if I was searching for nothing since it never game out for a console.It would be cool if Konami remakes it for the Gameboy Advance system coming out.That arcade game was one of my favorites. :)

i always enjoyed the simpson show, but the games on the old systems sucked. I dunno about the arcade game, so can you explain the point of the game to me?

I don't think there were any direct console conversions of the (excellent) arecade game, but there are a wide variety of Simpsons games for SNES, Genesis, Game Gear, and probably Gameboy. Like I said none of them are direct conversions of the arcade.
The Simpsons arcade game was a side scrolling beat-em up where you can have up to 4 players playing the simpsons, running around beating up stuff. You could be Homer, Marge, Bart, and I don't remember if the last one was Lisa or Maggie

It's available on MAME? Have to check that out. I used to play the PC version of the game at my cousin's back in early 90's I think. I actually found it recently on the net:

It's not as good as the arcade, of course, and you'll need to run it in DOS since it's so old.

there is nothing for any console that compares with the arcade version

the only simpsons console games were , barts nightmare (aweful) krustys super fun house and a few others, i cant remeber all the titles, all i remeber is, they all sucked the big one, get the arcade ROM simpsons and MAME, youll be happy with that
