Best KOF for me.. 1996... reason why... came from a bad yearl (95 was horribe.. only thing good was Eiji) and it remade it self to a great game with Sound Effects and GREAT Music... and .... the boss team..

Geese Howard..Mr. Big.. Wolfgang Krauser... my favorite team..

Last Blade 2... really good.. sword fightin + combat...

Waku Waku 7.. really funny game.. I mean.. the Ryu clone was really funny...

Fatal Fury 3... if you into it.. this game will explain a lot... 2 & Special are basically the same.. but Special has more of something.. I think players.. don't even think of one... BORING....

Art of Fighting 2 & 3... 2 is all rite.. and with 3.. i never seen better shadow effects in any other 2d fighter in my whole life..!!!!!...

Samurai Showdown 4..must play... must play..

Real Bout... 2 is really good.. but if you play Special.. you find them both the same..except 2 has more characters...

Garou.. even though its a beta.... and if your into the series.. you must play it... its really good.. its one of the latest games..

Breakers Revenge... this game is really quick.. and fast...

Worst...

Fight Fever.. boring

King of the Monsters 2... Really bad sequal...

Galaxy Fight.. boring...

hmm it seems like galaxy fight is not too popular
among people....sure it looks little grainy but
i love how it's so 'tight' like sf games..
i think most fighting games for neogeo are basiaclly
well made except for fight fever and gowcizer imo

@o@ Wow in 1997 and WOW is still 2001.
This was one of the Most unique Fighters i had ever seen (-.- Don't try to compare it Samurai Spirits)
It is the Most Balanced Fighter in Existance, there is no 1337 Person...well except Kasumi <Hyper>
The Characters (Yuki) the Settings (Yuki's stage is so lovely) The Storyline (Doesn't Yuki make a Great Sealing Maiden?)

@o@ and >_< only in the respect that some of YUKI's moves seem slower than last time around. Otherwise continues the Last Blade Perfectly
I just wish i could get that damn EX mode to work...

King Of Fighters 98
Like any other KOF can Touch the Dream Match, bah not even that so called Reprise (If they don't have at least everyone from KOF 98, then it isn't. If it does, well. We will see.)
True it doesn't have every single person that has been in KOF Before. Like Kaji or Gesse for example.
But some of the People that Vanished from KOF 96, Like Iori's team (Mature and Vice) are back...only to vanish again in 99 -.-
The End boss is an annoying existance...
Anyway, It is currently the Best Kof for now.

O_O? You must be saying, what the hell is 96 doing here if 98 is? Well i won't Iqnore how good 96 was and it has MAI.
It was the Beginning of How KOF would look for KOF 97-99

UNLIKE Galaxy Fight, which Annoys me to the fullest.
Sunsoft a year later came out with Waku Waku 7
@o@ Which makes the blemish that is Galaxy Fight seem like it was never there.
Plus, it is the Only fighter i have seen with A SONG being played for a Fighter;s (ARINA) music.


The Good

King Of Fighters 97
O_o Okay, so i have played KOF 94-99. So sue me.
True....it has the worst KOF Winning Portraits i have ever seeeeeeen (My Poor MAI ;_;). That isn't the point of the game.
;_; Iori's Solo (I don't care about him, just Mature. But Iori, Mature and Vice make a Pefect Trio So...)
Kasumi's gone (and who really cares) and Shermie's little gang pops up..to just kick Iori's a@@.
Isn't that cute? (Yeah i know that is only 1 reason...)

I still haven't played it, and may never will. Why?
Cough, No its not MAI. Its just, with the Last Blade, KOF, and Samurai Spirits.
It doesn't have a Appeal to me. But i will not ignore the way it looks, plays and is a Outstanding fighter. But i have to Slam it into the GOOD divsion until i play it.

Yeah, i may be the ONLY person here who likes it.

King of Fighters 99
This needs a simple fact.

The Good:MAI Where she Belongs, 4 player Teams, K and Whip are welcomed additions to the KOF family.
Basically what makes KOF good...BUT

The BAD: 3 freaking Kyos (Who was the Person who thought that idea up?) Athena 99 sucks to Athena 98.
The Other two additions....who's names i don't care about can goooo far away with the two Kyo clones.
Iori and Kyo are alone, while Shingo gets in a team @_@. And finally, the Striker system......
It created the Four person team, Got MAI in the Garou Team in 99, then Blue Mary in 2000. True they both belong there and should be.
But, the all mighty Striker system isn't something i use. Or have been able to figure out How to effectively use it since the amount of Damage given per Striker Bomb isn't exactly That big..more like so small I could do more damage with a Normal MAI special attack.

It is not the game Waku Waku 7 is.

No, i don't mean the Protector of the Sealing Maiden who i blow away with Yuki and Setsuna.
I mean the EX Mode, the Third Mode.
SPEED -> POWER-> EX Or Extreme Mode
There's a Code to do it, but like the Boss code of LB1. It doesn't work for me. In the Neo-Geo CD port of the Last Blade 2. It is said that EX mode is selectable without a code.
There was a Garou 2 and a Last Blade 3 in devlopment, but now i don't know.... KOF 2001 will come, but The Last Blade 3 seems so far away now....... I hope i'm wrong.

Disturbed... well i changed my feelings over night because I played it on the arcade last night... the real thing.. well..

THERE WAS NOTHING DIFFRENT FROM THE ROM..!!!.. :o

I mean... everything was the same.. EVEN THE SUPER'S WERE THE SAME..!!!.. the only diffrence was that there was no glichtes... and when i beat it... dude... the master was GRANT NOT KAIN..!!!...

A bad fighter is Samurai Showdown 3.
Bad programming made the opponent more powerful than you. His combos take more life from you even if you use the same combo on the opponent.

real bouts were pretty cool
Lb 1 & 2 i suck at them but they're really cool
only played Samurai Showdown 3 so i can't really compare it to the other ones

kof 97-98-2000 and i still don't like how they've made Terry Bogard a shadow of himself 97 wuz when he wuz truely powerful same with the earlier ones but the controls r sluggish 99 and boo hoo i'll protest to the bitter end to make Terry wot he once wuz KOF!!!!! wot r they afraid of if he's strong again Kyo has bloody heaps of moves and sdms and so does iori

ok ok enough of my insane ranting



conclusion i haven't seen too many neo geo fighting games i don't like the rest i just haven't played yet and i'm still getting there

I've heard a few people say they disliked Garou, but only a few.... and it most definitely has a different look, feel and play than the KOF series.

Garou is all rite.. but its cause I know the whole story line about KOF, Fatal Fury, and a bit about AofF.. (better than the Capcom story lines) thats the only reason why I like it.. because I know more about it now :D
