MAME on Kaillera

Well today I downloaded the newest MAME32+stretch+kaillera that's on kaillera's web site.
I decided to try out the netplay and see how well it worked...
So I connected to the fastest server I could find, it had a 72 ms ping which was good. I had an 80 ms ping or so, and played Street Fighter Alpha 2 with a guy who had a 50 ms ping, and here's what I have to say:
While playable, the game was pretty choppy, about as bad as ZSNES or SNES9X netplay is at their best.
Of course that was with a CPS2 game, which takes up more CPU power than simpler games.
Anybody else tried this out? I'd be interested if anybody has had better luck.

I will try that this weekend. If I can figure mame out last time I tried I was confused.

Not to change the subject, but are snes9x and zsnes that bad. I was hoping they would be good.

They're so-so... if you have a very fast connection they are playable.

Of course some people's standards are different from others, so you might find it acceptable.
